Is Today The Day?

Is today the day you wake up and start living your life?

Is today the day you decide, seriously, wtf am I doing with my life, time to shake things up a little.

Or, is it another day, to roll over, pull your doona up, press snooze and go back to sleep, after all, you can start living your life tomorrow.

It’s so easy to say, or even think about changing the way you live your life, yet so much harder to actually do.

Clearly I decided, (about a week ago), that it was time to shake things up a little (a lot), and start putting myself out there.

Nothing changes if nothing changes!

I’ve known this for such a long time, who knows what I’ve been waiting for, but it finally hit home.

How obvious does that sound? Nothing changes if nothing changes!!

Um, duh!

I finally realized that unless I make changes to my life, then the job I have is it for me. I’m really happy with the life I have been given, other than spending so much time tied to a job, but there are so many better ways to spend the day.

While I’m grateful in one sense for having a job, I’m not really helping people in the ways I would like.  I realise that many would prefer the security of a regular job, with normal 9-5 hours, annual leave, sick leave etc, but it bores the shit out of me, and definitely doesn’t fulfill me.

How many lives can I actually change in my job? A few, no doubt, but if I’m not doing it, they will employ someone else who can do exactly the same job, that’s pretty exciting isn’t it.

Now, how many lives can I change, motivating others to start living their life, find their purpose, and make the most of this opportunity called life? Right now, who knows, hopefully thousands, and then how many people will they go on and help?

But if I keep living the same life, getting up at the same time each day, going to work and not putting myself out there, I will never know. Life’s about many things, but challenging yourself and getting out of your comfort zone is one of them.

Who’s life are you changing today?

Start with your own and go from there. Make today the day you start living your life.
